Trio Léman was formed in 2011 in Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, by three outstanding musicians, passionate about chamber music.

The name Trio Léman evokes the beautiful landscape of this region, conveying the idea that music is also a part of the beauty of nature. The Trio has performed extensively in Switzerland at festivals including “Printemps musicaux” at the castle of La Sarraz, at “ Schubertiade” in Bienne in 2015, at “Timisoara muzicala” in Timisoara (Romania). They have been  supported by the Swiss Embassy and "Grawe Romania Asigurare" and performed in the famous Atheneum in Bucharest in 2014.

Following their time with teachers like Pierre Amoyal, Patrick Demenga and Jean-François Antonioli at the Lausanne HEMU, and their studies at the Accademia Chigiana with the Trio di Trieste, these three have musicians developed their own personal style, interpreting music in a dynamic, colourful, lyrical way, full of contrasts, and with utmost respect for the composer. They feel at home in many different styles, from classical repertoire to tango and tzigane music.

The violinist and pianist- being brother and sister - also perform regularly with their duo, Duo Froschhammer, and Felix Froschhammer is also first violinist of the Casal Quartet and concertmaster at the Neuchâtel orchestra (ESN).

Magdalena Morosanu is a professor at the Sion Conservatory of Music and Julia Froschhammer is in demand as a chamber musician, soloist and painter.
